June 18, 2024, Sustainable Gastronomy Day Alfred Nobel House, Karlskoga, Sweden
“We are now open for new entries for the Hallbars Sustainability Awards 2024,” says Pelle Agorelius, CEO and curator of Hallbars exhibitions at Alfred Nobel House. He continues, “Entries are fortunately always digital, which is helpful, given the volume of reports published yearly, which is now in the thousands and rising rapidly.”
“We especially welcome reports from corporations and institutions that publish their sustainability reports on a multi-year schedule,” says Jorg Zipprick, president of the Hallbars jury. “Many reports are published every two years or even with a periodicity of four or five years. The rhythm is accelerating due to new disclosure rules and the demands and needs of stakeholders.”
Chairman Edouard Cointreau announced the schedule for 2024:
- June 18 - Call for reports
- August 21 - Shortlist release
- October 21 - Best in the World publication (Alfred Nobel’s Birthday)
- November - Awards ceremony
The objective of the Hallbars awards is to help the promotion and distribution of sustainability reports across the world. It is hoped the focus on the awards winners will motivate the publication of more sustainability reports and will increase the engagement in sustainability.
